Fees

1. School Year Structure:
The School Year is divided into four terms, each lasting 10 weeks.

2. Term Dates:

  • Term 1 runs from September to November.

  • Term 2 runs from November to February.

  • Term 3 runs from February to May.

  • Term 4 runs from May to July.

3. Invoice Schedule for Terms 2-4:
Invoices for Terms 2, 3, and 4 will be issued 7 days before the start of the term and must be paid by the first week of the term via cash, cheque, or credit card.

4. Invoice Schedule for Term 1:
Invoices for Term 1 will be issued prior to Week 1 and billed via invoice.

5. Non-Attendance:
No refund will be provided for non-attendance at classes.

Stopping Classes

6. Notice Requirement:
If a student intends to withdraw from a class or all classes, written notice must be provided by 23:59 on the Friday before Week 5 of the student's final term. This notice period allows the school to manage class sizes and scheduling effectively.

7. How to Give Notice
Notice must be given in writing either by email to jennarushton@performerstheatre.co.uk or, if email is not available, by delivering a physical letter to the school office by 23:59 on the Friday before Week 5 of the student's final term (this effectively means during Week 4). If submitting a physical letter, a receipt acknowledging delivery must be obtained from the office.

8. Late Notice:
If notice is provided after 23:59 on the Friday before Week 5 of the student's final term, the notice will be considered late, and the full fees for the following term will be due.

9. Continuation After Notice:
If a student continues to attend any classes after the notice period has ended, the notice will be considered void, and a new notice period must be provided if the student wishes to withdraw. In such cases, the student will be liable for the full fees of the subsequent term.

10. Non-Refundable Fees:
All fees paid for the current term are non-refundable, regardless of attendance, as these fees cover the reserved place in the class and the school's ongoing operational costs.

Uniform

11. Uniform Requirement:
The full and correct uniform must be worn at all classes and rehearsals.

12. Hair for Sunday Dance Classes:
Hair must be worn in a bun or crown for all classes except baby and pre-primary classes. Ponytails, pigtails, plaits, or loose hair are not permitted.

13. Jewellery Policy:
Jewellery must not be worn during classes. For security reasons, it is recommended that jewellery is not brought to the school.

Examinations

14. Examination Participation:
Examinations are not compulsory. However, if students wish to take examinations, they must attend additional examination classes, for which a separate charge will apply.

Food and Drinks

15. Water Bottles:

Children are advised to bring their own water bottles.

16. Food Policy:

No food is allowed in the studios. If children bring food to eat between classes, please note that we operate a strict no nut and no peanut policy to ensure the safety of all students.

17. End of Session Policy:

Children must leave the studios promptly at the end of each session.

Clothing and Bags

18. Storage of Personal Items:

Coats and bags must be hung on coat pegs or placed in lockers or designated space provided.

First Aid and Medication

19. First Aid Procedures:
All staff members who administer first aid are trained and certified. They will use appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves and masks, to ensure student safety. First aid is administered with respect for the child's dignity and privacy, and parents will be notified.

20. Medication:
If your child requires medication during school hours, please inform us in advance. Medications must be clearly labelled with the child’s name and dosage instructions. Staff may assist with medication administration only if prior consent has been given by the parent or guardian.

21. Secondary Age Students and Leaving Premises:
Secondary-age students attending sessions may leave the premises during breaks, such as to shop for lunch, only if the school has a valid and up-to-date permission slip on file from their parent or guardian. Parents or guardians must provide written consent, acknowledging that they understand and agree to their child leaving the school grounds during these times.
We reserves the right to restrict this arrangement if necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the student.
