About me
Nick has taught drama for over twenty years. His professional credits as a producer include: The Importance of Being Earnest (Theatre Royal Haymarket, West End), Stepping Out (UK Number 1 Tours), The Ukulele Project (Edinburgh & UK Tour), Decline and Fall (London), Artist Descending A Staircase (London), Closer (The Hope Street Theatre, Liverpool). Between 2010-2012, he was Artistic Associate with Red Lion Theatres which runs the Old Red Lion and New Red Lion Theatres in London.
Nick is also a director of Papatango, an Olivier Award winning theatre company, who champion the next generation of brilliant playwrights. Papatango discoveries have won BAFTAs, Critics’ Circle, OffWestEnd, Alfred Fagon and Royal National Theatre Foundation awards, premiering in over twenty countries. Together with Sam Donovan, Nick established Performers Theatre School in 2001 and the Merseyside Academy of Drama in 2008. Nick and Sam opened The Hope Street Theatre in 2018.
